Ottmar Klaas Photography

I was born, raised and educated in Germany. After graduating with a Ph.D. in engineering, I moved to the US to work at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, NY as a Research Associate. At the current time I am employed as a senior software engineer at a small software company in Clifton Park, NY.

As an engineer, my love with photography started through my fascination with the technical aspects of photography. Creating a well exposed and aesthetically pleasing print of a photo requires a fair amount of knowledge about light, camera technology, software tools and printing technology. Nowadays I enjoy the interaction with people and nature that photo opportunities bring with them.
